A quickity quick quick WIP post!

I don't know if you remember my last WIP post, but this carved cardboard has been my big project not getting worked on!  Well, tonight, I did a little work, and am very pleased yes indeedy!  I feel this piece coming together and am confident it will be done this weekend.  And I promise, when it is, I will take real photos for you instead of relying on my new crutch.  But we know I am in LOVE with my iphone right...be kind!  Mr. Big is a lot more work!

and I got many comments on my green drink down below.  well, it is some OJ, water, some frozen peaches and maybe mango, and frozen berries, and a TON of spinach.  And it is GOOOOOOOD!  So, get blending!

  6. I got extra spinach this week for juicing - but have been to chicken to try it as it seems like it would be gross ;) thanks for sharing - love the addition of the frozen berries! Good stuff.
AND your WIP is perfectly perfect - love the addition of white on her eyes and as highlights and that texture is fab! xoxo

  8. I am loving the look of this, so sweet. The shredded cardboard makes a perfect tree. Sorry to hear you're so busy, hope it is a good busy though. Squeezing in art time is sometimes hard to do, but it makes life so much better and you seem to be magical at it. I love, love, love that you painted your fridge with chalkboard paint....genius!!!
Hope you have a fantastic and wonderful week!! I am emailing you too! :D

  9. It is so hard to get it all done, isn't it?! I love that though you struggle, you recognize your passions and needs....and squeeze them in whenever you can....sometimes not as often as you want...but, you listen to them, feed them and nurture yourself in so many ways :)

    You rock!!

  11. Hi Daniele! Thanks for stopping by and saying hi on my blog!

Yes, we are Somerset Memories "neighbors"...my article (tropical travel journal) is on p. 107 of the fall issue...was the first time I ever saw anything I made in print. A lovely experience!

I really love this WIP! The colors are unusual and really stir the eye. Cardboard is one of my favorite materials to work with b/c of how easy it is to find and recycle, as well as for its neutral color. Your inventive color choices here inspire me to try some new palates with it!
