This week. This torturous week.

is over!  For as awful as this week was, on too many levels, it is over, and during this no good, very bad week, we got one very fabulous addition to our family.

Meet Bella.  We adopted her three days ago, and she is the easiest, sweetest, little lady I know.  She is our family's greatest Valentines!

Paige, show me your belly button!  oh, those little hands.  How fast they change.  Don't those hands just scream innocence.  Even in the middle of her trying tantrum full days, these little hands remind me of how young, fresh, and pure this little lady truly is.  oh, my babe.

I don't care about noise, I love these photos.

I have been wanting to do this little broken crayon project forever.  Too fun, right?  I finally found a cheap pan.  I hope these turn out!  I think we'll wait to Valentine's eve to melt.

I don't care much for Valentine's day.  I never have.  I hate money making, for profit companies, that make you celebrate, on a day dictated by them to make money, something that should be celebrated daily, from our hearts. I hate when Alan spends $5 on a card to tell me something he tells me all day long.  I hate chocolate temptation everywhere.  And if we had funds to shower me with roses and gifts, I would rather Mr. to just do it when he feels, not when expected or told.  So, there.  However, I do have children, and the joy these simple holidays bring, forces me to put in a little effort, and melt some crayons shaped like hearts, and maybe even make some red velvet cupcakes!

We're melting heart around here!  haha.

Week 5 of 52 and some happy news!

again, and again, I didn't get out much this week.  Colorado was frozen, and we basically had to stay in.  At first, it was fun.  And then it began to eat at the soul.

Day before the freeze, we went to the park.  It was a dark day for my Kelsey.

The girls needed projects to do, which made more mess than I could handle...but I tried. Can you believe these are 8 year old hands?  Madison has such confidence in her sewing abilities. Unfortunately, her cat kept getting up and pulling at the string.  We gave up and she worked on her scarf project by hand.  ...She is wearing socks, made into gloves in one second, on her hands!  I did love those socks!

I worked on some LOVE letters this week for my Sunday Workshop.  I am not ready for it!

and I snapshot!

happy news?  My piece "Create" will be in the Spring Somerset Memories!

and The Daily Wyatt also picked another one of my pics this week! Fun!

This week, and a flashback!

Week 4 and didn't do much.  Homeschool, parks, just doing.  Nothing spectacular, however I did get a few moments that I will cherish.  The first and best moment of the week was this.

I posted this one earlier in the week, and I just love how it turned out edited.  This is my table, as I am eager to work on some new projects.

(that photo of us was a few years ago.  I don't look so great these days.  Boo.)

maybe because of this!  oh, heaven, it's back!

and some quiet moments.

linky Here!

A day late, but I think I will start adding a flashback photo to this Saturday week of photo thing I am doing.   Why not?

I was playing like crazy with these in PS, but am just stumped as to what to do.  I actually love these.  I played with color and added texture, then erased texture etc...  Still not sure what I want.  All editing woes aside, look at that chunk of loving!  ah, joy.

Week 3 with some new art!

oh, this was so fun to edit!

This one is unedited.  I love the warmth.

Some of my handmade paper!

I painted this pretty lady last night.  She is a part of a new collage, but not yet finished.  I painted her with my 19 month old on my hip, or in my lap, the entire night.  Ugh, it wasn't easy, but I just couldn't stop once I had started.  It says Be You under her eye. (also unedited)

My art fitness journal.  Huge work in slow progress! Unedited.

I didn't get out to take any photos, or again, challenge myself in any way.  Man, life is too busy these days, and too tiring.  Boo.  Here is to a better, easier, week next week. Please girls, comply!

The Daily Wyatt also picked on of my photos in her top 5 for last week.  Wow!  Exciting!

365 week 2

On top of my list this week is a photo of my newest collage.  There is nothing spectacular about the photo, I am just really loving my new piece.  (more on this piece and some photos on the process in post below!)  So, a few photos from week 2!

This is unedited. No time!

Yes, edited! Totally!

Unedited...no time!

unedited, no time, but don't want to touch it!

and I posted this a few days below, but I really like this one of me!

and totally edited!

I took some photos of one of my daughters in the snow, and I really want to play with those, and use textures, but I just have not had a chance.  I think I may have some good ones for sure!  Oh, time...I have lost you!

Project 365 week1

I have decided to join many others in this project to better my photography, and to push my limits.  I am going manual now, and I have visions of what I want my photography to look like, but I it's not there.  This is ok with me, because it will evolve, and become what it is and will be.

I will post this project every Saturday, and leave the rest of the week for everything else!

So, off to a slow start, but here a some from this week.

This year I have embarked on a journey to return to fitness. This is something I have always valued, but that past two years have had different demands, and the butt has grown!  Aside from a larger rear, I just don't like being unfit. It is really important to me to feel lean, strong, flexible, and full of zest.  I have made the commitment to myself to not let life get in my way another minute.  For me, mixing my need for fitness with my love of art journaling is ideal.  So, I joined Jenny Doh's Crafting Fitness ecourse and am having a great time with it.

I layered this photo in Elements with a texture from Kim Klassenpsingear!  I love her textures!

I love these little crawlers.  They are way too cute, and their butts wiggle as they crawl.  If ever I am grumpy, I just wind these up! They make out whole house giggle...well, maybe not the father!

ugh, and here is the seriously under exposed original. I am actually liking this saturated bright, a little fake, look because it is just happy to me! I used another Kim Klassenpsingear texture here. Matteo is wearing Paige's jacket and she is wearing a Halloween costume on this frigid day!

My homeschooling girl getting ready for school to start again. I was taking a few of her working and she looked up and I got this! Oh love.

I am linking up to a couple of Project 365 blogs.

I don't know why I couldn't get their buttons to work, but this will do, I hope!
