Etsy Banner
I have slowly, SLOWLY, been working on getting an etsy site up. I just cannot find time to do anything! Let me tell you with three girls, hubs always gone, a house, a dog, cats, a bird, dirt, working out, cooking, errands, cleaning and cleaning and cleaning... Finding time to do these little things that are important to me are hard! But, pecking away at them I am! Do you want to know how I paint? Seriously, I have taken over part of the kitchen now as my studio space. You may be able to guess this, but I spend a lot...A LOT, of time in the ktich! so, why not fit in my "arting" too. Yes, I used arting as a verb. I have no issue with this!!! Now, back to my little life revelations... So, in between dishes, and washing veggies and cooking wonderfully complex meals for my gaggle (ok, not so complex) I make a mess of my own. From time to time, or very often, my kids are like...are we going to eat soon??? Yes little mini mes, we are, as soon as I am done with this hair! haha.. My middle Maddy has taken to helping me cook, so I am starting to rely on Miss almost 10 year old to do lots of the cooking! And that is a little piece of my life!
oh, I hate how freaking tiny these banners have to be. So hard to do anything awesome sauce...really!
Now, on to something that just makes me so happy...
Have you seen these? Here is one I just love!

LOVE your banner. I've been re-doing mine as well. I think it's an awesome plan to fit art around the rest of life when you have little ones. That would work better than long pockets of time.

Totally understand what you say about getting your Etsy shop up and running again . . . I'm been feeling the same exact way. Lost a bit of my creative mojo and can't seem to pull together enough hours in the day to even begin looking for it. But you bring me much inspiration, and I thank you for that.
ReplyDeleteI have the same complaint about the size of the banners.....you put a lot of color and interest in yours!
ReplyDeleteHey, I just read "working out" in your long, busy, list....I think that is a noble accomplishment all by itself!!
Life and Health and Family should always be first....but selling a little art would be a nice. It will come, you'll make it all work eventually ;)
YAY! It's Awesome! I love it so so much (and of course your life stories - more, more, more!!!) xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteOh my, you really crack me up. I love your dialog, so funny and filled with personality. I think your banner looks fantastic. I know what you mean though, it is so stinkin' hard to squeeze anything in there. Bah!! I took a picture I already had and I had to squish into submission. It was sad.
ReplyDeleteYour life sounds so very familiar. We eventually gave up eating at our dining room table, because for years it was the only work space I had for all things creative and you don't want to put things away when you're in the middle of a project. It squeezes the inspiration out of it. Balance is good, but oh so hard to achieve. :)
In the meantime, your daughter will become a fabulous cook! :D
I love to do a bit of painting or drawing while cooking. Sometimes there is so much dead time that I just have to fill it. I want to open a shop sometime this year, but I'm still in the researching stage. I love your banner. I hope that you find time to do all the creative things you want to while enjoying your family too.
